September is usually the last of the ‘cool’ months, but with temperatures reaching up to 31 degrees centigrade and dropping only slightly to 23 degrees, it’s hardly cold in Yogyakarta. These temperatures are usually more comfortable than the higher heats at the beginning and end of the year.
An average 40mm of rainfall means September is the driest month of the year in Yogyakarta. Days will generally be sunny and bright, with only a few clouds towards the end of the day, which is when the showers occur. There’s low humidity is August, and this is one of the best times to visit Yogyakarta.
